Toshiyuki Mitsuzawa

With over 20 years of experience in M&A and business restructuring advisory, has been involved in more than 300 transactions to date.
Specializes in corporate growth strategies, capital policies, activist investor engagement, business restructuring, and regional revitalization.
Additionally, has established a strong network across North America, Europe, India, Southeast Asia, and China.

2001 – Joined PricewaterhouseCoopers Financial Advisory Services K.K. (now PwC Advisory LLC): Provided M&A and business restructuring advisory, and involved in structuring Japan’s first large-scale private equity fund led by a financial institution

2003 – Joined Lazard Frères: Provided advisory services for domestic and international corporate restructuring, M&A, and asset sales for financial institutions

2006 – Joined GCA Corporation (now Houlihan Lokey) (Appointed Managing Director in 2011): Led cross-border transactions, domestic industry consolidation, business restructuring, takeover defense, and management buyouts (MBOs)　 Contributed to establishing GCA’s India operations, achieving the highest number of Japan-India deals in 2011
